Paper Submission Guidelines
Scholars of all disciplines of Asian Studies are invited to submit their paper proposals for one of the 53 panels selected by the Academic Commitee.
Due to some delays caused by the change in the EASAS membership registration procedure, the submission has been extended to November 24, 2019 (midnight UTC).
All paper proposals are to be submitted to a specific panel only. A proposal consists of the title of the paper and an abstract with a maximum length of 1700 characters (i.e. single characters including white space). In case you are co-presenting a paper, please also provide the name(s), affiliation(s) and the valid EASAS membership numbers of all additional paper presenters besides yourself.
Innovative elements of the paper should be particularly highlighted.
The abstract should be text only and must be in English, the language of the conference.
Also the panel convenors must submit their paper submissions to the online submission system.
The online submission can be reached via this link. Alternatively you can use the individual “submit paper” links provided in our panel overview and thereby save yourself the manual selection of the target panel in the online submission form.
In order to submit a paper, you will first be asked to either create a user account or to login in case you have already signed up during the panel submission process. You will be required to provide your name, institutional affiliation, a valid EASAS membership number and an email address during the account setup.
If you are applying for an EASAS membership at the time of submission and have not yet received a membership number, you will still be able to complete your registration and submit a paper. But please be advised that your paper will be considered for acceptance only once you have provided the missing information (you can do so by accessing the paper management).
If you experience any troubles during the registration or submission processes or have general queries, please do not hesitate and contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The proposed papers will be reviewed by the respective panel convenors in line with the conference guidelines and deadlines. The decisions (acceptance or rejection of the proposal) and adequate feedback by the panel convenors will be sent to the Organising Committee and forwarded to the paper submitters by mid-January 2020.
A membership of the EASAS is a prerequisite for all paper presenters and panel convenors (join here: https://www.easas.eu/become-a-member). The online registration for the conference will open in February 2020. Below an overview of our conference fees covering registration, coffee and lunch breaks and the welcome reception.
