Traveling to/in Vienna

Travel by plane

The international airport Vienna - Flughafen Wien Schwechat - is located approx. 20 km south-east from the City Center. You can get there by:

Travel by train

Vienna is well connected to the international rail network. International trains arrive either at Wien Hauptbahnhof or Wien Westbahnhof. From there you can take the underground, buses and/or trams.

Moving around in Vienna

In Vienna you can use buses, trams, undergrounds and the S-trains as well as the convenient bike sharing network of Citybike Wien.

Public transport

You can purchase tickets at the airport, at any metro station and at a ‘Trafik’ (kiosk for newspapers and tobacco/cigarettes). You can also purches your ticket online. All tickets available for travel on the Wiener Linien network are valid on all means of public transport in Vienna.

Citybike Wien
